Lucy’s Trouble and Faith’s Wisdom
“Sweet” Lucy Romalotti has trouble written all over her face. She totally had almost everything to do with her parents Daniel & Heather getting back together in time for her to be a challenging teenager meanwhile breaking Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) heart on Y&R.
Faith Newman already knows better than to take up being BFF with Lucy but there’s Creepy Claire Grace hovering in the background in Genoa City. Y&R fans should get their popcorn ready for when Summer takes Harrison out of town when Kyle & Audra are in Paris. Scary Poppins will have free time to befriend another GC resident younger than her, Lucy Romalotti.
Daniel & Heather’s Obliviousness
Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) already sees Lucy Romalotti’s (Lily Brooks O’Briant) current teenage behavior as a red flag, however, Lucy’s parents Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) & Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom), not so much. Not once did they question why Lucy wants to spend so much time with a college student or why a college-age pool party may not be appropriate. Pretty much have fun & get a safe ride home is all they wrote.
Lucy’s Pool Party Deception
Young & the Restless fans are questioning Lucy Romalotti’s motivation for lying about attending the pool party with Faith on the Genoa City Athletic Club rooftop. Could Lucy’s motivation be as simple as feeling bad about advocating to stay in Genoa City to campaign as Miss Popular instead of traveling to Portugal with her mom & dad to see her grandpa Paul Williams (Doug Davidson)? Regardless, this was not cool on Lucy’s part & not all-star parenting on the part of Daniel & Heather.
So, where was Lucy during the GCAC rooftop pool party? Sure, her ride-share home with 5 stars is believable, especially if she’s used the service before, but where was she spending her time? She wasn’t at Crimson Lights so she must have been at a venue without a set on Young & the Restless on CBS.
Summer’s Plan and Claire’s Opportunity
Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) is interested in using “her son” to do everything in her power to make Harrison’s (Redding Munsell) dad, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) as pissed as possible before & during his travels to Paris on Glissade business with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver). Summer’s efforts include taking time off from Marchetti to take Harrison on a trip to Niagra Falls or someplace else. Harrison’s nanny Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) will not be on the guest list. Ergo, Claire will have plenty of time on her hands in Genoa City to dabble otherwise
Claire and Lucy’s Potential Connection
It won’t be long before Lucy & Claire get acquainted at Crimson Lights. Claire immediately has to do everything in her power to get everyone she meets to like her. Lucy Romalotti will be drawn to Creepy Claire like a moth to a flame. Lucy is bound to have a similar line of questioning with Claire as she did when she was getting to know Lucy. Lucy will want to know her background including all of her scoop good & bad. She’ll then follow up by asking questions about drinking alcohol.
Will Claire claim she doesn’t drink as she gets to know Lucy? Or, will she go with the dabbling program she put on with Kyle Abbott? Perhaps Claire & Lucy enjoying an adult beverage or more will be all Summer Newman needs to get Claire out of Harrison’s world for good.
