Claire is about to walk out of the Abbott mansion when Kyle suddenly stops her. “Claire,” he calls out after her. He pauses then frowns as he says, “We need to talk.” Is he going to follow Victor’s orders and fire Claire as Harrison’s nanny? Or might this be a more personal matter?
Billy has been clashing with Lily over Abbott-Chancellor business, but now it looks like he may have a problem with Chance, as well. “It sounds like you’re ready to jump ship,” Billy notes. Nervously, Chance admits: “I don’t know, Billy. I haven’t decided yet.” Has he begun to believe Billy is steering a sinking ship?
Because Lily has had enough of Billy and knowing how Victor feels about Billy Boy Abbott, she ponders making a deal with the devil to ensure she’s the one left in charge of Chancellor when the dust settles. “If I understand you correctly,” he muses as they sit together at the jazz club, ‘you want me to help you take down Billy Abbott.” Opposite him, Lily gives a tight smile and declares: “Yes.” But should she really be trusting her future to Victor Newman?
