The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that we’ve got some comings and goings to share, so let’s start with a new face in Genoa City. Isabella Dake is joining Y&R in the role of Miriam, so look for her to make her first appearance in the July 22 episode.
Back in May, the show sent out a casting call for this part, which Dake ultimately scored.
Now we’re finally set to see Miriam on-screen, we should talk about the storyline she’ll be tied to.
Miriam is Faith Newman’s (Reylynn Caster) college-aged friend, so she’ll meet Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) and notice that she’s rather clingy when it comes to Faith.
Despite previously agreeing to let Lucy tag along to the pool party, Faith will decide it’s best if Lucy doesn’t go after all.
Although Faith will make some reasonable excuses – including the fact that alcohol will probably be around – Lucy will still be crushed over the news.
Lucy will try to play it cool, but her disappointment over this rejection could lead to trouble.
The show no doubt cast Miriam for a reason, so it’ll be interesting to see if she plays a bigger role in whatever drama erupts from here.
In other comings and goings news, Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins) will be back for some scenes with Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland).
Y&R spoilers say Traci and Alan will take a huge step together on July 25, so are they about to take things to the bedroom?
Alan and Traci might also discuss their relationship status at some point.
It’s clear that Traci and Alan are becoming more enamored with each other every day, so Traci and Alan might make a bigger commitment soon enough.
It sounds like Traci will continue having the romantic time of her life in Paris with Alan by her side.
This has been an unexpected positive development in the aftermath of Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) DID crisis, so at least something good came out of it.
